A service designed for professors by professors
Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country.
Our goal is to provide a Web site where professors with similar teaching/research backgrounds can find each other for an exchange.
Through IPE, professors and lecturers may arrange for short or long term job exchanges between universities around the world.
How it started
IPE was originally conceptualized by two professors, Drs. Rich Huber and Jim McNab.
The IT division and international programs office at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (USA) worked together to build the original Web site with graduate and undergraduate students.

Who are Rich and Jim?
Dr. Rich Huber, PhD University of Iowa, (right) teaches in the Department of Elementary, Middle Level & Literacy Education in the Watson School of Education at UNCW.
One topic that Rich is particularly interested in is the development of Internet resources for inquiry teaching.
Dr. Jim McNab, MA Hons Edinburgh, MA PhD Duke, (left) is emeritus Assistant Provost for International Programs at UNCW.
He has served as Head of Foreign Languages at Virginia Tech and the University of North Carolina Wilmington, as well as Guilford College, where he held a Dana Professorship in French Studies.
